When I turned 26, I made myself a goal of reading 27 books by my 27th birthday. Somehow, I actually met this goal. This works out to about two books every two weeks. Most of the books I read were new but a few were re-reads. Here's my list!
- The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - Mark Twain
- The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
- Uncle Tom's Children - Richard Wright
- The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck
- Cat's Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut
- Tracks - Louise Erdrich
- The Ramayana - R.K. Narayan
- Sundiata: An Epic of Old Mali - D.T. Niane
- A Thousand Splendid Suns - Khaled Hosseini
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - J.K. Rowling
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - J.K. Rowling
- Flapper: A Madcap Story of Sex, Style, Celebrity, and the Women Who Made America Modern - Joshua Zeitz
- America Since 1900 7th Edition - George Donelson Moss
- Technical Communication 11th Edition - Mike Markel
- The Broke-Ass Bride's Wedding Guide - Dana LaRue
- The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini
- Call Me Zelda - Erika Robuck
- Ruth Hall - Fanny Fern
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J.K. Rowling
- The Awakening - Kate Chopin
- Wide Sargasso Sea - Jane Rhys
- The Woman Warrior - Maxine Hong Kingston
- Four Souls - Louise Erdrich
- ...every bedtime story Ari and I have read, which would really probably put me at over 300 books total for the year.
