13 things I'm wishing for

I felt a little materialistic upon deciding to create this post, but let's face it, unless you're not human, you're probably wishing for some things, too.  Here's my top 10 (in no particular order, as usual):

1. This trench.

2. This dress.

3. This cabinet.

4. This bag.

5. These boots.

6. This pup.

7. These jars.

8. This necklace.

9. This Leica.

10. This locket.

11. This skirt.

12. This light switch.

13. This dress.

You guys know my birthday is soon, right?  Size small dress/skirt/tops, size 7 shoe.  Kthx.  ;)

I Hate Shorts

Okay, so the title is pretty self explanatory: I hate shorts. I'll wear them around the house every once in awhile but it's veeeeery rare you'll see me out in public in them. When it's hot I prefer a dress a skirt. However, today I came across some high-wasted shorts and decided to try them on. Surprisingly enough I actually liked them.

I apologize for posting creepy headless photos. I was using the self-timer on my phone, propped up against my iced coffee, and it was slightly tricky to get a good composition. Also, my hair was a mess so I decided it wasn't really necessary that my head be included!

Still feel kinda weird in shorts, but I think these have potential. I love the high-wasted style. I think they add back a little bit of class to outfits that is taken away with today's extreme-short-shorts.

What do you guys think? Yea or nay??

summer vibes

After the longest winter of my life, I am beyond happy to say it is FINALLY WARM! 

Summer outfits are my favorite.

(except for when it's fall, then I say fall outfits are my favorite)

I'm grateful I work a job with a pretty lax dress code.

It was hot and humid outside today, so I chose this outfit 

(plus a cardigan (not pictured) to wear in the office since temps get quite low in there).

(I'd like to point out that my 4 year old took this photo ^ for me)
